We design for the long walk, not the first photograph. A piece that looks beautiful on day one and holds its quality on day five hundred — that is the standard we work to.
We make what is needed. We do not fill collections for the sake of it. A smaller range made well is always preferable to a large one made quickly.
We tell you how things are made, what they are made from, and how long they will take. We do not over-promise. We make something well, and then we let it speak for itself.

The dog owner we make for is not defined by how much they spend. They are defined by how they think. They buy fewer things. They buy the right things. They want pieces that last, that hold their quality, and that look as considered at the end of the season as they did at the beginning.
Billy Bear exists because that dog owner could not find what they were looking for. Not in the mass-market pet stores. Not in the accessories brands that fill the feed with colour and noise. They needed something made with the same care and consideration they put into their own wardrobe.
We are not trying to be the biggest pet accessories brand. We are trying to be the most considered one. A small studio in Brisbane, making things properly, for the people — and the dogs — who can tell the difference.
